I’m not sure if I mentioned bullet journaling before, but I’ve been trying to get into it for some time now. I started the process of bullet journaling in December, at least the last week of December and it hasn’t been working out that much. It takes a lot of planning that, to me, it doesn’t make sense to actually take part in it. As a new minimalist, it just a little

My Chromebook finally came and I am more than happy. Read all about it!
It’s here guys, it’s finally here; my Samsung Chromebook 3. I am more than happy to had received this in the mail. Whenever I’m excited about something I always research it before I get it, this product? I really didn’t research it that much. I was trying to find a device that I could… use! And I think I finally found what I was looking for. As some of you may have read my last post, I got hacked with my last computer and since then I just never felt safe using it.
Technically, you can’t trust any computer and should Continue reading “Mundane Friday: My Chromebook… is finally here”
It’s good to read other people’s blogs, sometimes you find information that you wouldn’t find regularly and here’s why.
What’s up friends!
I always read other blogs but I just want to emphasize that it’s important to read other blogs. Of course not to steal ideas but to get inspiration and learn from others. I learn so much from other blogs, like how some freelancers are not getting paid and how the market for bloggers are going down. Info like this needs to get out there; which is why it’s awesome to read blogs.
Everyone thinks differently (duh), but I never realized this until I look at other peoples blogs. Sometimes I stay locally, here on WordPress and check out some info people have written, I also Continue reading “Mundane Friday: Its great to read other blogs”
A book that I was writing for the Month of November, is not done, but at least I have cover!
Last week I had mentioned that I was participating in the challenge to write a book in 30 days; I did not succeed. So many things were happening in my life, and I hate using that excuse because, you make time for things you value. People spend hours on there phone, watching YouTube videos of people showing what a $4,800 apartment can get you in New York, instead of, oh let’s say, writing more chapters in their book (so not me though). I just couldn’t help it, writing for a blog and writing for a novel are two very different things. I enjoy writing for my blog because I can talk about multiple different things, coming up with a story is hard, here’s why.
I’m not sure if I had mentioned but I recently just started watching The Game of Thrones. George R.R. Martin was the author of the best-seller books, “A Song of Ice and Fire,” I guess some people read the book and was like, yo, I can see this as a TV series and a bunch of other writers by the Continue reading “Mundane Friday: Update on my book…”
What minimalism has taught me! (dezeen.com via giphy)
As you may know, I’ve been trying to live with less and although it’s been fairly easy, it does have it’s difficulties. We consume ads almost everyday of our lives except for when we’re sleeping. There are days where I’m on the computer, either watching YouTube videos or preparing my posts, and I just get this feeling that I want to buy something. When I receive the item, via post office mail, the anticipation and excitement go away.
Since I’ve started this journey I haven’t bought anything for myself in a while. I actually find myself second guessing on whether I should waste my money or not. Somethings I feel like I need so I think more on if I should waste my money it and other items are completely obvious that I shouldn’t spend my money on. I feel like it’s made me a better spender because I have more to spend on bills rather than on items that could possibly cause me to be homeless. One of the major things I’ve been focusing as a minimalist is how my home looks. I don’t Continue reading “Let’s Talk Tuesday: What minimalism taught me.”
Another how to cure writers block! Drawing!
I don’t know if I mentioned before, but another way I come up with content and stay creative is by drawing. Painting, drawing, digital drawing; almost everything!
When I was younger, the first person to influence me was my God-mother. When I was a kid, about 4 or so, she use to hang her paintings in her apartment. I loved that about her though, she was so creative and at an impressionable age, all the colors and details that she put in each painting, really amazed me. Some people don’t like to read, but me? I can’t go nowhere without a book being in my purse. Big or small, these are a list of my favorites. (ebookfriendly.com via giphy)
Since it’s getting colder and colder, I love to read during these time. Sitting in bed, not worrying about much, just me, the words on the page, and a hot cup of tea. I haven’t been reading as much as I want to, but I think now that it’s starting to get cold, it’ll lighten up my schedule. Although I love all genres, Continue reading “Mundane Friday: A list of my favorite books”
