Another homage post about some awesome shows I’ve been watching lately.
2018 has started off on a weird turn of events. I can’t really go into detail of what’s been going on because I’m tired of giving my energy into the negative aspect of the 2018 “The New Year” but the one thing that I can say is, 2018 is a great year for the women and here’s why.
As a young woman, I’ve grown up watching tv. It wasn’t until I was about 15 that I grew to love literature. I would pick up books and read like nobodies business, but when I felt like I needed a break movies and television shows really are what did it for me. As a kid though, I watched kid shows like cartoons and Disney and sometimes would stumble onto grown-up shows. Continue reading “Homage Tuesdays: The Women of 2018”
2017 sucked ass for me, but I’m hoping that changing a few things, will help.
Lately, I’ve been feeling kind of down, not sure why, but I just am. I have no motivation to do much lately, it makes sense because usually around the New Year, it’s just a sad time of year for me. I was even having plans of just walking away from my blog for a little while and I know I can’t,

I love sharing the type of music I listen to, so why not make it for my Mundane Friday post? (mylifewithhelene.tumblr.com via giphy)
On this blog, I talk a lot about music. It helps me concentrate with my writing, it makes me feel in a better mood, sometimes I even play music to help me sleep. While on the YouTube, I like to search different things, today I want to show you some music that I think everyone needs to hear:

You ever wanted to learn a new langauage? Well here are some resources. (soulpancake via giphy)
As some of you my know, I’m in college and one of my classes this semester is Spanish. It dawned on me that when learning a knew language, some people tend to think that they don’t have the resources to learn. Today I’m going to change that. Learning a new language is just as easy as turning your phone on to see what time it is.
Trying to make any language my second language I’ve done a lot of research. What apps to download, books to read, videos to watch, anything. A lot of these are going to teach you the basics of the language and even when you feel like you want to go out in the world and try your knew skills, Continue reading “Let’s Talk Tuesday: Learning a new language can be easy”
A book that I was writing for the Month of November, is not done, but at least I have cover!
Last week I had mentioned that I was participating in the challenge to write a book in 30 days; I did not succeed. So many things were happening in my life, and I hate using that excuse because, you make time for things you value. People spend hours on there phone, watching YouTube videos of people showing what a $4,800 apartment can get you in New York, instead of, oh let’s say, writing more chapters in their book (so not me though). I just couldn’t help it, writing for a blog and writing for a novel are two very different things. I enjoy writing for my blog because I can talk about multiple different things, coming up with a story is hard, here’s why.
I’m not sure if I had mentioned but I recently just started watching The Game of Thrones. George R.R. Martin was the author of the best-seller books, “A Song of Ice and Fire,” I guess some people read the book and was like, yo, I can see this as a TV series and a bunch of other writers by the Continue reading “Mundane Friday: Update on my book…”
Some people don’t like to read, but me? I can’t go nowhere without a book being in my purse. Big or small, these are a list of my favorites. (ebookfriendly.com via giphy)
Since it’s getting colder and colder, I love to read during these time. Sitting in bed, not worrying about much, just me, the words on the page, and a hot cup of tea. I haven’t been reading as much as I want to, but I think now that it’s starting to get cold, it’ll lighten up my schedule. Although I love all genres, Continue reading “Mundane Friday: A list of my favorite books”
