Some people don’t like to read, but me? I can’t go nowhere without a book being in my purse. Big or small, these are a list of my favorites. (ebookfriendly.com via giphy)
Since it’s getting colder and colder, I love to read during these time. Sitting in bed, not worrying about much, just me, the words on the page, and a hot cup of tea. I haven’t been reading as much as I want to, but I think now that it’s starting to get cold, it’ll lighten up my schedule. Although I love all genres, Continue reading “Mundane Friday: A list of my favorite books”
It’s November 1st! Let’s start the writing challenge off write! Lol
I never mentioned this before, but I’m trying to write a novel. I have about 6 chapters but I can’t seem to generate anymore ideas for the book — I feel like this process is way bigger than how to cure writers block.
It’s like my mind jumps around like a toddler asking a thousand questions. Trying to keep coming up with ideas and focus on the outline I just couldn’t do it. So one day while browsing the internet, a website by the name of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWritMon), that seemed like it would help me.
This is not a promotion for the website, I’m not getting paid or anything but maybe some of you, the readers, have the same troubles I am so why not share my findings with you all. While Continue reading “Wormhole: Writing November #NaNoWriMo”

How has your month been? Mine has been okay, lately I’ve been thinking a lot about my hair. Us women, we take our hair seriously, and African American woman, take their hair very seriously, spending hours in the salon, making sure our hair is right. I’m just glad that natural hair (not using chemicals to change our hair type or heat to straighten it) is starting to take over, and becoming more of a trend. We have all these types of things we do to our hair but what I don’t understand is why locs have such a bad reputation?
Ever since I was younger, I had family members that had locs, it was always the older family members though. Coming from a Jamaican family every time I saw a person with locs, I thought they were so Continue reading “Let’s Talk Tuesday: Let’s talk hair… Locs mainly”

Have you ever heard of a minimalist? Or maybe seen something on Facebook? In this post, I explain shortly what a minimalist is. skateparadise.tumblr.com via giphy
Lately I’ve been walking around my apartment and I say to myself, “damn, I have a lot of shit.” I know where it came from, but I’ve been dying to get rid of everything, here’s why.
When I was younger and would visit family members, I use to think, dang. They have a lot of shit too. Not an episode of hoarders but… maybe close to it. But I always promised myself, my apartment wouldn’t look like that and… it did, but not by choice. When I first moved, I had plans of how I wanted my first place to look. The only downside to that was, when I was moving, Continue reading “Mundane Friday: I’m thinking minimalist”
I got asked a weird question at work yesterday, so I thought I’d post it and ask what you, the reader, thought. reddit via/ giphy
Yesterday at work, I got asked a random question. I kid you not, my coworker walked up to my desk and asked me, “Your home is on fire. Grab five items (assume all people and animals are safe — good because I have a fish tank lol) What do you grab?
Uhm… first thing I would grab is my important papers; birth certificate, social security card, etc. Second thing, would have to be Continue reading “Let’s Talk Tuesday: Burning down the house…”
