Read about my experience at BookCon! There will be videos and pictures.
This year, I told myself that I would enjoy what the year brings. When I was younger I always wanted to explore but being from a small town there wasn’t much for me to do but when I came to the city it kind of changed… but not really though. I’d want to do certain things and explore places but the people I knew were wack and weren’t geeky like me. Going to fashion school, the people there were too much into what looks good and how to act and that wasn’t me. My status quo wasn’t cool so I left and just spent my days inside. Don’t get it twisted though, I made my own fun, I’ve got a very “do what I want by myself” type of person. If I want to do it, I do it in my own time, I don’t wait for anyone. There were a lot of events going on in the city that I could’ve done but I would either miss it or just miss it by like a day or so. Last year, I made sure to check out the events I wanted to go to beforehand and made sure to write them down on my calendar.
The first event I planned on going to was BookCon. When I first heard of BookCon, it was actually mentioned on the show Younger (a show all about a woman who acts younger so she can work with a publishing company) and I actually thought it was fake until I googled it. Watching videos on youtube to see what people’s experiences were, reading about it on other people’s blogs and it Continue reading “Let’s Talk Tuesday: I went to BookCon!”
You should love your library and if you don’t then you should think that. Continue to read why!
How have you been? Good? That’s good, I’ve been trying to drown myself in literature. I love to learn, it gives me this high that’s unexplainable. Like a scratch in the back of your throat when allergy season comes around; which is right now for me. At first, when I was going

March 18th was my blog anniversary! I know I just like dropped off the face of the earth but I just needed a break from blogging. I felt like my blog was starting to become more of a chore than something I enjoyed. I needed to force myself to crave to Continue reading “Late Blog Anniversary!!!”
It’s snowing, I’m at work, New York makes you dedicated, here are some
Hey everyone, Today is Friday and… I’m at work. There’s only ever been one time where the whole city shut down and that was 2014, the bus stopped, I think the trains stopped, and the governor had a public service announcement before the storm and told everyone to stay inside. He was very adamant about what he was saying, telling people that if he caught people outside that they would be in trouble. I think the same thing should’ve happened yesterday and today. I had woke early this morning (not really because I slept through my alarm), got dressed, walked outside, and was abruptly hit in the face with ice because the wind hates me. My husband, who works outside, who I felt tremendously worse for, was forced Continue reading “Mundane Friday: A very snowy Friday”
2017 sucked ass for me, but I’m hoping that changing a few things, will help.
Lately, I’ve been feeling kind of down, not sure why, but I just am. I have no motivation to do much lately, it makes sense because usually around the New Year, it’s just a sad time of year for me. I was even having plans of just walking away from my blog for a little while and I know I can’t,

Chromebooks, laptops, computers, tablets. We all want them, but what really fits our needs? (https://gizmodo.com/asus-chromebook via giphy)
Finally, finally! I got a new laptop, although from my understanding it’s not a laptop, it’s a Chromebook. I have a laptop now, that I use, but I got hacked from it — okay, now I have to tell you the story.
One time, about 4 years ago, I was having issues with my laptop. Like any ol’ person, I called the company to see if they could help me troubleshoot what was going on with the computer. I went to the laptop website, which is Toshiba, and it was the worst thing I could’ve done. I don’t really remember exactly what happened, but next thing I knew, my computer was moving on its own. From a remote location, “Toshiba” was able to control my laptop without physically touching it, they started opening files, web browsers, they were looking for credit card info, debit cards, social security, good thing I don’t keep anything like that on my laptop and my wifi connection was weak, which made the person frustrated and they soon gave up. I was confused, I had gone to the Toshiba website, and found the Continue reading “Mundane Friday: I got a new laptop… Chromebook”
A book that I was writing for the Month of November, is not done, but at least I have cover!
Last week I had mentioned that I was participating in the challenge to write a book in 30 days; I did not succeed. So many things were happening in my life, and I hate using that excuse because, you make time for things you value. People spend hours on there phone, watching YouTube videos of people showing what a $4,800 apartment can get you in New York, instead of, oh let’s say, writing more chapters in their book (so not me though). I just couldn’t help it, writing for a blog and writing for a novel are two very different things. I enjoy writing for my blog because I can talk about multiple different things, coming up with a story is hard, here’s why.
I’m not sure if I had mentioned but I recently just started watching The Game of Thrones. George R.R. Martin was the author of the best-seller books, “A Song of Ice and Fire,” I guess some people read the book and was like, yo, I can see this as a TV series and a bunch of other writers by the Continue reading “Mundane Friday: Update on my book…”
